Editor's Note: When looking at these photos, it is sobering to realize that the environmental destruction you see here is on land that was in Silver Star Provincial Park until April, 2001, when it was deleted from the park by an Order in Council so that Silver Star Mountain Resort could build a golf course. The proposed opening date for the golf course was to be June 2000. The only current plans for the area is to log all 18 fairways but just use them for sewage effluent disposal. Hmmmm.....I wonder if this land would have been deleted from the park if the public knew then what it knows now.
